Tonight I'll be going along to my first minimalist running clinic with Vibram at the Run and Become shop in Victoria (6.30pm). While I'm there I'll be getting my first pair of Vibram FiveFingersshoes, which I'm quite excited about. Everyone is welcome and it's completely free (no obligation to buy shoes or anything), so do come if you're at all interested in minimalist running.
I haven't met the team who'll be running the clinics and leading the group runs yet, so I'm looking forward to that too. I'm told Corrado Giambalvo will be there, who is one of the world's top barefoot running coaches, along with master trainer Rossato Sergio and pro volleyball player Inese Bekere.
I've also heard that Sam Murphy will there. Like me, Sam is a journalist and personal trainer. I've seen her work all over the place but never met her in person before, so that'll be nice too.
I'll report back tomorrow with details of how I get on, hopefully with some video footage, but if you can make it along to discover barefoot running for yourself it'd be great to see you.
If you'd like to come but can't get to Victoria tonight, don't worry, there are lots more clinics coming up across London over the next two weeks - see my previous post for a full list of dates, times and locations.
