Kinetica Whey Protein Review

Kinetica Sports Nutrition sent me some 30g samples of their whey protein powder to try in strawberry, banoffee, chocolate, mint chocolate, and vanilla flavours.

Kinetica Whey Protein was the first product from the Kinetica range of Sports nutrition products I tried. I wasn’t familiar with the brand, but first impressions were great. Nice, slick, no-nonsense packaging, with nutritional information clearly stated.

I mix my whey protein with water as I find it too heavy on my stomach with milk and it makes it easy to mix right after a gym workout too. I used a shaker to mix the powder with water and didn’t notice any lumps or powder left at the bottom, which is always a good start!

The taste was really very nice, definitely among the best I’ve tried. The packaging states that the flavours are all natural, so that’s good to know. The banoffee and strawberry were yummy, not too sweet, not too bland (for my taste). The vanilla was pretty good too, nice mild taste. The chocolate I’d say was about average. I didn’t try the mint chocolate favour - basically because I hate choc-mint things, so I gave that one away, but am reliably informed that (if you like that sort of thing) it’s very nice, a lot like After Eight mints.

I drank each of the shakes straight after gym training sessions with an emphasis on strength training. I felt noticeably revived within a few minutes of drinking them and experienced only mild muscle soreness the following day. This was quite impressive as I normally expect to ache like hell!

Although more expensive than some whey protein shakes, I think the Kinetica Whey Protein is priced quite reasonably for the quality of the product. It is available online at:

Kinetica's own online store at £28.99 for a 1kg tub. Free delivery.

Or

PhD at £20.99 with a free shaker. Add £3.99 for delivery.
